FIC monitors VET and ELICOS student’s course progress to assist them in completing their course within the expected course schedule as stated on their Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
FIC provides support in accordance with the ELICOS student attendance, ELICOS course management, VET student course progress and Student support policies and procedures to assist international students complete their course within the expected duration.
FIC extends the duration of an international students CoE in the limited compassionate or compelling circumstances identified in the Completion within expected duration policy and procedure.
Compassionate or compelling circumstances are generally those beyond the control of the student and which have an impact upon the student’s course progress or wellbeing.
Amending a student’s enrolment (start and/ or finish dates) will impact a student’s visa. Students are recommended to contact the Department of Immigration and Border Protection prior to submitting an application to amend their enrolment at FIC.
FIC encourages all parties to approach a complaint or appeal with an open view and to attempt to resolve problems in a fair, unbiased and equitable manner through discussion and conciliation.
